Medium-voltage electrical distribution demands reliable terminations capable of handling voltage surges and environmental stress. A modern Separable Connector provides a fully shielded, submersible interface for switchgear, transformers, and ring main units. Hangda Electric manufactures these components using high-grade EPDM rubber to ensure complete insulation and touch-safe operation in modern power grids.
Operational Features of Screened Assemblies
Standard distribution networks rely on high-performance Screened separable connectors to maintain continuous grounding and prevent electrical arcing. Hangda incorporates an outer conductive layer that keeps electrical stresses contained within the housing.
-
Shielded design prevents accidental contact during maintenance.
-
Integrated capacitive test points allow quick voltage verification.
-
High-durability EPDM material resists ozone, tracking, and moisture ingress.

Grid Protection and Selection
Deploying Separable insulated connectors optimizes compact substation footprints while expanding circuit flexibility. Hangda Electric tests each 15kV plug-in arrester to maintain low partial discharge levels and withstand severe overvoltages.
Application Steps
-
Inspect cable preparation dimensions according to manufacturer standards.
-
Secure the separable cable connector onto the bushing interface using calibrated torque tools.
-
Connect earth wires to complete the conductive shield grounding loop.
Versatile Separable Connectors lower system downtime through simplified disconnection procedures.
Product features
The 630 A rear plug-in cable connector is used in conjunction with the front plug-in cable connector product. It provides branching for 630 A circuits but cannot be directly connected to products such as bushings. Its rear end can be sealed with an insulator or extended to connect another rear plug-in cable connector and rear plug-in arrester.
Utilizing advanced rear injection technology, the outer layer features a semi-conductive shielding layer that is touch-safe, ensuring personal safety. The unique stress cone structure effectively dissipates electric field stress, resolving electric field stress issues at the cut-off point of the cable shielding layer. It offers expandability, flexible installation and removal, and enables T-type cable connections. The product is fully sealed, fully insulated, fully protected, maintenance-free, submersible-resistant, and pollution-resistant.
